In both business and life, things can come at you fast with the potential to knock you down. You could be in trouble financially, and then the engine on your car decides to go that same week. You may have finally gotten the big business deal you’ve been clamoring for, but all of a sudden your best employee has decided to quit. Situations like these are something that everyone in life faces. They are inevitable.
In the end, continuing to push forward and a mindset to never give up will likely always be your best option. Giving up means you didn’t reach your ultimate goals, and that’s a crappy feeling. I’m here to give you 6 reasons you should remember to never give up when you seem to have problems flying at you in every area of your life.
6 Reasons To Never Give Up When Everything Seems To Be Crashing Downn
1) The reason you wake up everyday
When everything seems to be crumbling, remember the things that get you out of bed in the morning. Are you a role model for your children? Are you on a mission to prove to yourself or to a family member that anything is possible? Are you supporting your family and do they rely on you?
Ask yourself, what is my inspiration? When the going gets tough, always remember the most important reasons in your life and find motivation to keep pushing.
2) Success is close
Giving up now probably means you are extremely to close to what you’re seeking. If you’ve been working incredibly hard to change an area of your life, and it hasn’t quite come to fruition yet, DO NOT quit! You are closer than you realize. It may seem like a daunting task, and feel like you’ll never get there, but you will. When the going gets tough, take solace in that fact that you are on your way to overcoming this life obstacle should you stick it out.
3) You will regret giving up in the future
Should you give up now, you will almost surely regret it one day. You will question why you didn’t push through. You will wonder why you couldn’t just give that last little bit of effort. Living life with no regrets is great in theory, but if you don’t give 100% effort at fixing the problem, it’s near impossibly not to have regret in the future knowing you didn’t give your all. Don’t find yourself five or ten years down the line looking back and wondering… what if.
4) You owe it to yourself
When times are tough, running away is the worst thing you can do. Throwing in the towel will not make your problem(s) go away. In some cases, it will do the exact opposite. You owe it to yourself to give your best effort and make a commitment to never give up. You owe it to yourself to try your hardest with a refusal to fail. If you do fail, or are forced to give up, that’s okay. You can learn from it and move forward in your life. Just remember, you owe it to yourself to know in your heart there is nothing more you could have done.
5) Your original goals
Not only is it crucial to identify your life inspiration, but don’t forget the goals you originally set in a particular area of your life. If you set a goal to get a new job by the summer, and it hasn’t happened yet, giving up will not help you get there. Why close down your business after one bad month instead of working extra hard and finding a solution? You set your goals, and if you keep working toward them despite all the issues you face along the way, in the end, you can and will reach those goals.
6) The prize at the end
The other end of the rainbow is a very special place. When you set a goal and never give up in hard times, it’s truly amazing when you go on to achieve your goal, it’s one of the most powerful feelings you will ever experience. It can change your entire life. When you want something bad enough, giving up should never be an option, despite how many problems keep popping up. If you keep fighting, you will be rewarded in incredible ways at the end. If you fell off the path, get back on right now. When you reach the top of the mountain, it will come with a special kind of feeling along with wonderful rewards you can get nowhere else in life.
In the end, it’s up to you. You get to make the last call on whether to give up when everything seems to be crashing. There are people in life who face obstacles and choose to keep fighting until you get past them, and there are people who choose to fold as soon as the tide gets rough. Again, only you can decide which one you are.
I can tell you, should you choose to keep fighting and never give up, in the end, your life can be everything you’ve ever wanted.
